a little break from painting...
.

5 facts about myself:

1. my right eye is higher than my left eye. cricked eyes.
when i attempt to make a perfect horizontal line the right side always slightly goes up.
so naturally, when i want to draw a symmetrical face she always ends up cricked.
this is apparent when i mirror flip my girls. its kind of eerie...

2. living in Los Angeles ive never had a drivers license.
this seems to come as a shock to most. but i somehow managed to get by this long.
i wish to drive one day (preferably not in LA), but for now, i know that if i am on the road
the fearful/worrisome/nervous/anxious self would completely take over and i would just freeze up.

3. i hate caterpillars and big thick juicy squirmy larvae looking things.
the thought of them popping and gushing out makes me eeeeeep!

4. i cant wear wired bras.

5. i dont snack too much. and i dont like sugary sweets too too much.
but i love complete full meals. usually with various side dishes.
my mother and grandmother cooks these full japanese meals with several different dishes, and so i got spoiled.
add a couple glasses of wine or beer and thats perfection!

(edit) uh! one more!
6. i cant stay/sit still for too long.
when watching tv/movies i need to be doing something with my hands.
fidgeting-drawing-petting the cat etc.
(when all else fails i resort to my habit of nail biting.)
(i should take up knitting or something.)

I definitely agree about caterpillars. I'm afraid to even touch them because I might accidentally squish them. I got one stuck to the hem of my pants once and I almost cried; I had to get my friend to get it off for me.

I'm 20, living in Los Angeles, and I never got my license.
It's not too much of a bother to me actually, but a lot of people have nagged me to get it already so it's become a burden... unfortunately. On the bright side though, I save so much money!! I've been saying I'll get it soon so I better study.

My eyes are crooked too! My glasses never fit right. =]. And I don't think I'm ever going to drive, also.

And I also hate sugary foods. I love potatoe chips and french fries. GREASY SALTY FRENCHFRIES!

hahhahaha.

1. I can relate a little... My eyelid folds are uneven. Eye Talk helps train them for a little bit. (>.<)

2. I never drove until I moved to LA. Ironically I was scared to. After LA, all other cities are cake. ♥ 頑張ってください

5. Agreed!

Normally I wouldn't say anything because I'm too shy, but I wanted to ask if you've seen this artist? Rinne I enjoy her work so much.

I think one of my eyes is slightly bigger than the other, can't remember which is which. I'll go stare at the mirror later and find out.

So what inspires the women that you paint? As in, do you have a model or do you just paint these beautiful women? Are they the ideal of a beautiful woman to you?

I was thinking about eyes just this morning. I don't think anyone really has completely horizontal eyes, and if they do, they look too far apart. Just one of the many beautiful quirks of human beings.

I've lived in LA all my life without driving. It's less stressful, and forces me to be on time, if not 30 minutes early to places.

You can use your time on public transportation to practice knitting. :]

The thing about the eyes and how you paint them is fascinating! I wonder if this happens to other people too, that kind of personal-visual-habit.

I can't wear wired bras either, at least not longer than about 30 minutes. I buy them once in a while because I think I want a really hot matching set of lingerie (I love how demi-bras look) but then I wear it, and I hate the feeling of it in the outside edge of my breasts and I have to tear it off! Arggghhhh.
